The FZ Racing teenager is part of the Lechner Racing Middle East team. Al Faisal is eyeing a strong showing at Silverstone after delivering a good pace in the previous round.
Al Faisal has shown marked improvement in the Supercup on his debut season and he hopes to continue his improvement and progression through the ranks of one of the world’s most popular one-make racing series.
“I am excited to be heading to Silverstone for the next round because it is a track I have raced before,” said Al Faisal.
“It is a track I usually enjoy. In general, we are getting quicker and quicker and I am getting used to the car now. Hopefully, from the practice session, right up until the race, I can get even faster and finish in the points.”
Meanwhile, despite being beaten by Matt Campbell of the Fach Auto Tech Team in Austria last Sunday, Michael Ammermüller continues to lead the series. Al Faisal’s German team-mate has 78 points and leads Dennis Olsen by 14 points. Aussie Campbell is third while Al Faisal is 18th among the 28 competitors with four points from four rounds.
The free practice session on the 5.898km course, near Towcester, in UK, will be on Friday afternoon while the qualifying takes centre stage on the circuit on Saturday. The fifth round of the 11-race series fires into life on Sunday.
