A total of 37 players representing different clubs from across the country took part in the four-day championship, organised by the Oman Table Tennis Committee (OTTC).
Khalid al Zubair, the chairman of the Oman Olympic Committee (OOC), was the chief guest and gave away the prizes in the presence of OTTC chairman Abdullah Bamkhalef and other sports ministry and OTTC officials.
Zubair said, “It is an exceptional effort by the OTTC to promote the game in the sultanate. Such events will help build a strong national team in the future.”
Bamkhalef said that the OTTC is aiming to provide a platform for the players to compete regularly and believed that participation in tournaments would help develop the players for the national team.
