The test sessions were held ahead of the 71st edition of the Total 24 Hours of Spa, which will be held from July 22-28. The 24 Hours Spa will be the fourth round of the Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup.
The Oman Racing team had a successful testing in its Aston Martin GT3 Vantage car and Ahmad said, “We enjoyed a very good and productive test at Spa, working on many things. It was very encouraging to see we had the pace to lead both days in Pro-Am class, and we’re all looking forward to hopefully doing the same again during the race weekend.”
Going into the 24 hour race, Oman Racing currently leads the Pro-Am class championship standings and have an unbroken run of three back-to-back podium finishes. “We know how incredibly tough the Total 24 Hours of Spa is, having been part of this event for many years now,” said Ahmad.
“It’s been a fantastic season so far for Oman Racing, and after such a strong two-day testing session we are all determined to battle for another podium and keep our championship firmly on track.”
