RNO acting commander receives Korean official

Muscat - 

Commodore Saif bin Mohammed al Habsi, acting commander of the Royal Navy of Oman (RNO), received at Mu’askar al Murtafa on Tuesday Rear Admiral Yu Byeong-Ju, commander of Combined Task Force 151 in the Republic of Korea.

The two sides exchanged viewpoints on several matters of common concern.

The meeting was attended by Brig Khamis bin Salim al Jabri, senior RNO officers and Commodore Mansoor bin Mohammed al Kharousi, head of the Maritime Security Center. During the course of the visit, Rear Admiral Yu also visited the Maritime Security Center. He was received upon his arrival by Commodore Kharousi.

The guest was briefed on the Maritime Security Center’s tasks and duties, including conducting and leading operations in the region’s waters, including search and rescue operations and ensure the protection of the marine environment from various risks.

Rear Admiral Yu also viewed the modern devices and equipment used in supporting maritime security operations.
