Majan College partners with UK’s Higher Education Academy

Muscat -

Majan University College (MUC) has signed an agreement with the United Kingdom’s Higher Education Academy (HEA) so as to become an HEA Access Partner.

HEA is the body that sets standards for university teaching in Britain, as well as providing qualifications for academics.

Through the agreement, college staff will be able to participate in online discussion groups with academics at universities and colleges throughout the world and to identify good practices that can be used or modified to support learning at MUC.

The dean of Majan University College, Dr Maha Kobeil, said “Our partnership with the HEA is evidence of Majan College’s continuing commitment to the professional development of its teaching staff so that students enjoy the best possible learning experience with us.”

Kathryn Harrison-Graves, HEA head of Global Partnerships, added, “We are very pleased to partner with Majan College and we’re looking forward to the opportunity to work with their teaching staff. The HEA Fellowship scheme recognises great teaching.”
