DME holds Oman crude oil auction

The Dubai Mercantile Exchange (DME) hosted its latest auction on Thursday on behalf of Oman’s Ministry of Oil and Gas.

In a press release issued on Saturday, the DME said that 2mn barrels cargo of December-loading Oman blend crude was awarded at a premium of US$0.07 per barrel over the December official selling price.

The Oman crude official selling price is calculated on a volume-weighted average of daily DME marker prices over the month. As many as 21 companies logged into the auction and registered 17 bids. Oman crude for December loading was traded on Thursday on the DME at around US$54.6 per barrel.
