Muscat receives rainfall; Jebel Shams records 3.5°C

Several parts of Muscat governorate received light to moderate rainfall on Sunday morning. The Public Authority for Civil Aviation (PACA) said that Sunday’s rainfall led to drop in daytime temperature across the city. “Muscat city received 3.8mm while Amerat received 5.8mm of rainfall,” PACA stated on its twitter account.

PACA said that Jebel Shams at 3.5°C topped the lowest minimum temperature in Oman. “This was followed by 4.6°C in Saiq, 11.6°C in Maqshin, 11.7°C in Yanqul, 11.9°C in Al Sininah and 12.8°C in Thumrait.”

For Monday, PACA stated, “It will be clear to partly cloudy skies over the coastal areas of Sea of Oman, Al Wusta and South Sharqiyah. There will be mainly clear skies over the rest of the sultanate with chances of low level clouds or fog patches late night to early morning over North and South Sharqiyah, Dhahirah, Buraimi and Al Wusta.”
